Rooms with a view

The Trophy Room is a large double room with en-suite bathroom on the first floor enjoying unimpeded views of the sea from both windows. The Trophy Room can also be converted into a triple with three full size single beds.

The Old Boathouse contains two smaller rooms, a single/small double and a twin which share a shower room with each other. Both of these rooms look out towards the lighthouse and coastal path.  Please note that although the Boathouse rooms are on the ground floor you do have to go down several steps to access the rooms.
Bed and breakfast rates start from £30 per person per night. Please see our tariff for further details.

Breakfast 
Breakfast is served between  7.30 and 9.30 am but if you have to leave early to catch your ferry please let us know and we will make up a packed breakfast to eat on the way.  Packed lunches of fresh baked baguettes, fruit, home made cakes etc are also available at a cost of £6 per person.  

House Parties 
During the winter months we provide food and accommodation for parties of around six people, often for shooting, but also groups of friends or family visiting Islay together. On these occasions in addition to the above we provide a three course home cooked dinner. 

Booking  information
We ask for one night's payment in advance to confirm bed and breakfast bookings which can be paid via the contact us page.  Please note that we no longer accept provisional bookings and rooms remain available until a deposit is received.  We expect guests to arrive between 4pm and 7pm for the first night of their stay however if you wish to arrive outside of these times, this is no problem if you let us know in advance.  

Please note that we only accept credit cards via our website, the balance owing for your stay should be paid by cheque or cash on your departure. For your information there is a free cash machine at Portnahaven Post Office

Cancellation Policy
On receipt of your deposit your booking will be confirmed, if you then have cause to cancel for any reason more than one calendar month from your stay we will refund your deposit, less a £5 administration fee. If you cancel your stay less than one month before you are due to arrive we will refund your deposit only if we are able to re-let the room for the entirety of your stay. If you arrive a day late or leave early you will be liable for the cost of the original booking. If you have any questions about this policy please contact us before booking. 
Unfortunately we cannot refund deposits if you are unable to get to Islay due to adverse weather or other circumstances out of your control and we can’t fill your room. We would recommend you take out suitable travel insurance to cover this eventuality.
